Missouri's Municipal and County Resilience Alliance
Missouri's Municipal and County Resilience Alliance
Our Working Mission and Vision:
MaCRA advances practical approaches to sustainability and resilience.
Our vision is for Missouri’s communities to be equipped to withstand and adapt to stresses on infrastructure, and natural and social systems so that our citizens are safe and thriving.
We are an alliance of Missouri’s local government employees who are advancing resilience through sustainability efforts.
MaCRA is a practical collaboration that helps us work together to ensure that local voices inform policy decisions that affect our communities. This effort is grounded in the day-to-day experience of local government staff and shaped by the realities we are navigating on the ground. We help each other build more durable communities by sharing real-world strategies, data, and approaches that are working across Missouri’s counties and municipalities.
We also support members in elevating the visibility of resilience and sustainability work within their own local governments, so that these efforts are better understood, supported, and resourced over time.
Together, we strengthen both our individual work and our collective ability to address the challenges facing our communities.
Focus Areas
Our work spans a number of areas connected to sustainability for our communities, including:
